This is crafty, hearty snack. Makes you want to eat it whole in one go.
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ tablespoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 yolk to brush on top
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 seedless tomato
- 300g sausage
- ¼ cup deseeded olives
- 2 tablespoon parsley
- 150g sliced mozzarella
Mise en place
- Thinly slice the onions, tomato, olives and parsley

Mix the butter, eggs, milk, salt, and baking powder into a bowl.

Gradually add flour to the mixture until it’s not sticking to your hands.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the onions until its translucent. Then, add the tomatoes and sausage.

Preheat the oven to 350 °F / 180 °C.

Spread the dough with a pin roll into a rectangle.

Set the slices of mozzarella in the middle.

Cover the mozzarella with the cooked sausage

Cut the corners of the dough into ribbons, lacing them on top of the filling.
Lace the dough ribbons like a shoelace to wrap the filling entirely.
- Bring the bread into the oven and cook for 30 minutes.
