Paprika Schnitzel (or Paprikaschnitzel) is a simple yet wonderful German recipe. You can find variants of this recipe, but this one is a personal favourite.
Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 4 slices veal sirloin cutlet
- 2 tablespoon lemon
- 3 tablespoon butter, unsalted
- ½ cup onion
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
- Salt & Pepper
Mise en place

Thinly dice the onion.

With a paper towel, pat the Veal Sirloin dry.
Directions

Set the veal steaks on a plate and let them marinate in the lemon juice for at least 30 minutes.

Pat the steaks dry and roll them into the flour.

In a large skillet, sauté the onion with 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until it becomes translucent.

Melt the rest of the butter over medium-high heat and quickly fry the steaks, seasoning with salt and pepper

Reduce the heat and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Mix the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Pour the mixture over the steaks and let them cook for no longer than 3 minutes.
Best served with rice and potatoes. Try adding some of the sauce all over the potatoes as well.
