Perfect for salad dressing, burger sauce, or even to add that nice tangy, spicy flavour to your meal.
Ingredients
-
200g Red chillies
-
5 garlic cloves
-
¾ cup sugar
-
¾ white or apple vinegar
-
¼ cup water
Directions
-
Set 3 or 4 chillies aside, and carefully deseed the remaining chillies with a spoon.
-
Thinly chop all chillies and bring them to a food processor.
-
Add the minced garlic and ½ of the vinegar, processing everything until the chillies are finely chopped.
-
Place the chilli mixture, the remaining vinegar, and sugar into a saucepan over low heat. Stirring it until the sugar dissolves.
-
Increase heat to high and bring it to a boil for not more than 15 minutes.
-
Pour the chilli into a bottle and let it cool.
Do not cook for more than 15 minutes! It gets too sweet.
